Mtre Mélanie Dugré’s story
Meeting inspiring colleagues

Mélanie Dugré, lawyer
From the age of 12, Mélanie Dugré was already saying during her debating competitions that she would be a lawyer. In 2001, after obtaining a Bachelor of Civil Law and a Bachelor of Laws from McGill University and studying for a year in Australia, she realized her dream and was admitted to the Bar. She has always practised in litigation, first with McCarthy Tétrault until 2007 and then, as part of the Great-West/London Life/Canada Life litigation teams. A wordsmith with a passion for writing, she has also been a contributor to the Montreal daily La Presse since 2011, and in 2014, she published the collection Lumières du Phare, for the benefit of the pediatric palliative care centre, the Lighthouse, Children and Families.
First and foremost, Mtre Mélanie Dugré is a counsel who is a team player who wants to be surrounded by dynamic and enthusiastic people. She has definitely achieved this goal given the inspiring colleagues she meets through her commitment to the Bar of Montreal.
