Debating competition

Edition 2026

The purpose of the Debating Competition is to encourage Francophone and Anglophone College (CEGEP) students of the Montreal District to publicly debate a position on legal issues.

The theme selected for this 36th edition is the following:

Artificial intelligence as a judge: for or against?

 PRIZES TO BE WON:

  • $500 as well as Antidote+ Personal, the indispensable writing assistance software suite from Druide informatique, to each of the winners.
  • $250 as well as Antidote+ Personal, the indispensable writing assistance software suite from Druide informatique, to each of the runner-ups.
  • $150 and the Grand Druide des synonymes et des antonymes for the two best speakers who are not in the final.

REGISTRATION:

Fill and return the Registration form, before February 16, 2026, 5 p.m.

Deadline for submitting the names of participants is March 10, 2026, 5 p.m.

SEMI-FINALS AND FINAL:

The semi-finals and the final will take place on March 19, 2026, 2 p. m., at the Court of Appeal of Quebec.
