Barreau de Montréal Referral Service
The Barreau de Montréal Referral Service provides, upon request, the name of a lawyer registered with the service to any person who is able to assume the associated costs (or who is eligible for legal aid). The lawyer agrees to offer a one-hour consultation for $60 plus applicable taxes.

In the event of an arrest upon entry into Canada, any person has the right to immediate access to the assistance of a lawyer. The Barreau du Québec provides the public with a free legal consultation service by telephone.
The Lawyer Emergency Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
