WHAT IS A FAKE LAWYER?

A fake lawyer is an individual who falsely claims to be a lawyer or legal counsel, or who uses the title “Maître,” without being a member of the Barreau du Québec or the Chambre des notaires du Québec.

This person is therefore practicing law illegally.
