This year's Salon VISEZ DROIT reinvented itself! From January to April 2021, Salon VISEZ DROIT hosted a wide range of interactive virtual activities to inform the public of their rights and obligations, popularize legal information and make the justice system more accessible and less intimidating.


Free private legal consultations

Wednesday January 20, 2021 — 12:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Take advantage of free 15-minute private legal consultations with our volunteer lawyers to discuss a family matter, housing law, labour standards, real estate, employment insurance, etc. Our lawyers will be available to inform and guide you.

Activity at Collège Jean-Eudes

Friday January 22, 2021

Students at Collège Jean-Eudes will participate in oral debates and a lively Q&A activity, followed by a career orientation session offered by lawyers of the Bar of Montreal.

The activity will be held in person at Collège Jean-Eudes but can be replayed virtually subsequently.


Family sponsorship in immigration

Many may feel that the rules to sponsor a family member – a spouse, a child, a parent or a grandparent, are complex. Stéphane Handfield, a lawyer specialised in immigration law, will explain how to proceed and discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the closure of borders on the process.
