The Barreau de Montr\u00e9al invites you to explore our judicial institutions during this open house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Numerous activities will take place throughout the day at the Montreal Courthouse<\/strong> (10 Saint-Antoine Street East) and at the Quebec Court of Appeal<\/strong> (100 Notre-Dame Street East), which will also welcome the public for the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2139\ufe0f Avoid prohibited items and travel light to quickly pass through the security checkpoints at the Courthouse and Court of Appeal. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free Legal consultations are offered in French and English while most activities are presented in French.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guided tours of the Courthouse<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Guided tours of the Montreal Courthouse<\/strong> will be organized throughout the day with regular departures. Registration is available on-site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two tours will be offered : the first will allow visitors to explore courtrooms, clerks\u2019 offices, and areas that are usually closed to the public. The second will provide a chance to discover the Victim Assistance Center for Criminal Acts (CAVAC), the JuriP\u00f4le, and the CAIJ law library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duration of the visit : approximately 45 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schedule:<\/strong> doors open at 9:30 a.m., first tour begins at 10 a.m., and the last tour starts at 3:30 p.m.

Guided tours of the Court of Appeal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Join us to explore the magnificent Ernest-Cormier building, home of the Quebec Court of Appeal<\/strong> in Montreal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guides will take you on a tour of the premises, and you will have the opportunity to meet judges and staff who will share more about the Court’s operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duration of the visit : approximately 45 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*Schedule:<\/strong> first tour begins at 12:30 p.m., and the last tour starts at 2 p.m.
Meeting place:<\/strong> Court of Appeal of Quebec (100, Notre-Dame Street E.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free legal consultations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Barreau de Montr\u00e9al, in collaboration with Justice Pro Bono, offers free legal consultations to the public at the Montreal Courthouse. This initiative aims to facilitate access to justice by providing quick and free legal advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volunteer attorneys will be on hand to answer questions from the public, in French and English, as well as in several languages, in a variety of legal fields, including family law, employment law, immigration law, taxation, administrative disputes\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dont forget to bring your documents !<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assistez \u00e0 un proc\u00e8s simul\u00e9 in\u00e9dit o\u00f9 le diable et les b\u00fbcherons d\u00e9battront de la question juridique portant sur l’entente intervenue entre eux lors de cette nuit l\u00e9gendaire et ce devant le Tribunal.
