EXPLANATION

The triangular form represents both the sword of justice and the torch of knowledge, separating into two parts that initially seem equal and symmetric but are also opposed to each other. The two curves symbolize the B of the Bar and the M of Montréal as well as compassion and humanity.

The Bar wants this design to be a lasting mark that is both a tribute to the past and a message to future generations.
