Having worked over 20 years in corporate finance in New York, Toronto and Montreal (as Portfolio Manager, Risk Manager, Chief Investment Officer, Head of the Bond Desk and Chief Strategist), Erik Giasson, the “Wall Street Yogi”, has learned different lessons from life. For Erik Giasson, a cancer survivor, four-time Ironman and father of five, balance is paramount.

During this talk, he shows how he concretely applies what he has learned to everyday life and how it has allowed him to find his way and have the courage to succeed professionally and personally. In late 2000, Erik Giasson left Wall Street and decided to focus on the world of yoga by visiting ashrams in India and becoming a diehard yogi. In recognizing that he had to strike a balance between yoga and Wall Street, he is now a businessman, manager, Robbins Madanes certified Strategic Intervention Coach and yogi. He is co-owner of Montreal’s Wanderlust Yoga Studios and, in February 2017, he published the book “Le Courage de réussir : les 5 leçons de vie du Yogi de Wall Street” (in French only) (delbussoediteur.ca/publications/le-courage-de-reussir). In sharing the trials and tribulations he overcame and the challenges he met, the Wall Street Yogi will definitely inspire you to find the right balance.
