Adopting healthy lifestyle habits is the best way to prevent the onset of many chronic diseases and can sometimes even help some existing diseases regress. Lifestyle habits directly impact healthy life expectancy, which is often defined as life expectancy without disability. 

When we refer to a healthy lifestyle, we mean various aspects of our daily life, including physical activity, diet, body weight, smoking, alcohol consumption, sleep, stress, etc. We control all of these elements and can decide to do something about them to impact our overall health in a positive way.
