The activities of lobbyists, professionals who represent their clients before government authorities, have been governed by the Lobbying Transparency and Ethics Act since 2002. Consultant lobbyists, enterprise lobbyists, organization lobbyists, public office holders, and influential communication: what exactly does lobbying mean?

In this lecture, Mtre Michel Binette (president of the Association québécoise des lobbyistes) will unravel the mystery of lobbying and the Act, giving you practical examples taken from his own experience. He will also provide an overview of the Code of Conduct for Lobbyists and speak about the role of the Commissioner of Lobbying. This training session will improve your understanding of government relations and how lobbying can sometimes prove necessary.

In a short presentation at the beginning of the lecture, Madame Catherine Wagner (Manager – Business Development at the CAIJ) will describe the CAIJ’s lobbying tools. A practical workshop not to be missed !

*Length of training: 3 hrs.
An attestation of attendance will be emailed after the activity.
