General consultation

February 21 2017, from 17:30 to 19:30

Location:
Bureaux de Gowling WLG (1, Place-Ville-Marie, 37e étage, Montréal)
Montréal, QC

The Bâtonnier would like to meet you!

As he has reminded us a few times, our Bâtonnier, Simon Tremblay, is currently undertaking a general consultation with members of the section and the different lawyer associations.

These meetings will take place in four different locations on February 1, 7, 13 and 21, 2017 (see the reply form for details). The Bâtonnier will be joined by members of The Bar of Montreal, and they would like to hear your views on the following topics:

1- Should The Bar of Montreal take a position in public debates?
2- The lawyer’s image and communication with the public
3- Needs and expectations of The Bar of Montreal’s members
4- Focus on the role of The Bar of Montreal and its powers, on the founding of a professional lawyers’ association, and on any concern you may have as a member of The Bar of Montreal

The Council of The Bar of Montreal truly hopes you will be able to attend this consultation process in large numbers. We believe this is the only way we can take the true pulse of our members and focus on their genuine concerns.

Please confirm you attendance by filling out the reply form and returning it to us.

Any of you who will not be able to attend can email us your comments or suggestions at batonnier@barreaudemontreal.qc.ca.

As a matter of fact, you never need to wait for a general consultation process to communicate with the Bâtonnier and submit suggestions or your vision for The Bar of tomorrow.
